“One test of the correctness of educational procedure is the happiness of the child.”

-Dr. Maria Montessori

Whether a child is being taught at home or at school, it is important to teach them how to control emotions. Having worked with many children that have endured trauma during early childhood, I have learned to deal with each child differently. Some children respond better to stern discipline while others are prone to shutting down if spoken to in such a tone. All children need to be taught how to problem solve and compromise with others. For some, there is also a communication barrier, but this can also be overcome. I will use my experiences to help you and your child learn to communicate in a mutually beneficial manner.
