“The role of education is to interest the child profoundly in an external activity to which he will give all of his potential.”
-Dr. Maria Montessori
There are many variations of “heavy work” activities available for children who struggle with sensory processing disorders. After getting to know your child, I can offer several types of activities that may help him to feel centered. These activities increase body awareness and give the child a sense of calm when done correctly. A regular sensory diet also helps with anxiety and stress, which is common in children with these types of disorders.
